Company Overview:
The Directorate of Forensic Science Services (DFSS) was established in 2002 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, following recommendations from the National Human Rights Commission and the Padmanabhaiah Committee on Police Reforms. It was bifurcated from the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). The DFSS oversees six Central Forensic Science Laboratories located in Chandigarh, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Guwahati, and Bhopal. The Directorate is headed by a Director-cum-Chief Forensic Scientist.
Position Details:
Role: Deputy Director (Quality Assurance & Quality Control)
Organization: Directorate of Forensic Science Services
Location: DFSS HQ, New Delhi
Salary: ₹2,30,000 Per Month
Type: Deputation (not exceeding four years)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control in forensic laboratories
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and accreditation standards
- Manage quality assurance programs accredited by bodies such as the Quality Council of India, NABL, NAAC, and BIS
- Maintain high standards of forensic research and laboratory practices
Eligibility Criteria:

| Experience | Ten years of research experience in a forensic laboratory/institution under Central/State or Union Territory, with eight years in an accredited laboratory managing quality assurance programs |
Additional Information:
- Deputation Period: Not exceeding four years, including previous ex-cadre post appointments
- Age Limit: Maximum 56 years as of the closing date of application receipt
