Core Purpose of the Role
The primary focus of the Research Associate will be to execute the synthesis of various types of peptides and ensure the efficient operation of the peptide synthesis lab. Role Accountabilities
1. Peptide Chemistry Expertise
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in synthetic peptide chemistry, including the synthesis of long-chain, branched, labeled, disulfide, lactam, and head-to-tail cyclized peptides.
- Independently carry out solid-phase peptide synthesis and characterization using techniques such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS). Research Associate at Syngene International Ltd
2. Operational Planning
- Plan and execute daily operations within the peptide synthesis lab.
- Identify and develop synthetic routes for conformationally constrained and derivatized peptides.
3. Protocol Development
- Prepare and document protocols, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory equipment, instruments, and processes to ensure consistent and safe operations.

Educational Qualifications
- Required:
- A Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.
- Strong foundational knowledge in peptide synthesis and analytical techniques.
