Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will contribute to NMR-based analytical research and development:
- NMR Operation & Maintenance (60%):
- Manage and maintain a 500 MHz NMR spectrometer for synthetic chemistry, biologics, and analytical labs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards and provide interpretation of complex NMR spectra for sample characterization.
- Support Synthetic R&D Projects (15%):
- Assist with synthetic chemistry projects and ensure compliance with ISO-9001 safety standards.
- Participate in audit preparations and contribute to project success.
- Instrument Setup & Maintenance (10%):
- Conduct IQ/OQ/PQ (Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualification) of new instruments.
- Manage lab material procurement including chemicals, glassware, and equipment for ARD projects.
- ISO-9001 Certification and Audits (10%):
- Take part in internal and external audits, ensuring ISO certification processes are maintained.
- Diversity and Inclusion Practices (5%):
- Support and promote Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging within the team and organization.
Qualifications & Skills
USP is looking for individuals with strong technical and interpersonal skills:
- Basic Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.
- 0-3 years of hands-on experience in NMR operations, data interpretation, and spectral analysis.
- Familiarity with GMP/GLP practices and ISO 17025 documentation.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of biological molecules (peptides, proteins, vaccines).
- Experience with solid-state NMR or multinuclear NMR techniques.
- Familiarity with systems like Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), Empower, or NuGenesis.
