Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing
The Configuration & QC Specialist I plays an essential role in managing the configuration and quality control of clinical trial databases and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for several important tasks:
- Database Configuration
You’ll assist in setting up and configuring clinical trial databases and EDC systems, ensuring they align with the specific project requirements. This includes detailed planning to match data management needs and overall study design. - Quality Control (QC)
Quality control is a central aspect of this role. You’ll conduct thorough QC checks on clinical trial data and documentation, identifying and correcting any discrepancies. This process is crucial to maintain high data integrity in compliance with regulatory standards. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
Working closely with data management, biostatistics, and clinical operations teams, you’ll address QC findings and support data validation. This collaborative approach helps streamline project workflows and uphold clinical standards. - System Validation
You’ll also contribute to developing validation plans to evaluate EDC system functionality and optimize data management processes. This ensures smooth system operation and reduces the likelihood of data-related issues. - Training & Support

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with EDC systems like Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical, or Inform is a must. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Communication: This role requires effective communication and collaboration across teams, making strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving essential.
