Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Science Facilitator to teach Grades 6-10 students online. This role involves conducting live classes for 20-30 hours per week, with additional time allocated for class preparation, meetings, student assignments, and examinations.

Qualification Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science-related field.
• Teaching Certification: Certification in teaching Science in the International or British Curriculum for Grades 6-10.
• Experience: Prior experience teaching Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in an international school setting.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using online learning platforms and educational technology tools.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit online learning environments effectively.
• Certifications: Certifications in accordance with Cambridge and IB Guidelines for teaching Science in an international setting are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Align with the School’s Vision: Embrace and promote the school’s vision and academic culture.
• Class Content Development: Develop and prepare daily class content and presentations.
• Lesson Planning: Research, understand, and prepare lesson plans.
• Conduct Online Classes: Teach online as per the timetable and manage any necessary substitutions.
• Utilize Learning Resources: Use various learning resources and platforms effectively.
• Student Assessments: Plan and execute continuous informal and formal assessments of students.
• Parent Communication: Proactively address parents’ communications and concerns on the Learning Portal.
• Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to the school’s policies, including child safety and cyber security.

Essential Requirements

• Experience: Teaching Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) in the International or British Curriculum for Grades 6-10.
• Qualifications: In accordance with Cambridge and IB Guidelines for teaching Science in an international setting.
• Experience: Prior experience in an international school setting.

Technical Requirements

• Equipment: A good laptop/desktop with an HD webcam and microphone.
• Internet: High-speed internet connection (Broadband or Fiber).

Work Hours

• Time: 6:30 am – 3:30 pm IST
• Holidays: Follow holidays as per the Malaysian calendar.
