Role Overview: Scientist III
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing qNMR technologies to enhance USP’s pharmaceutical and chemical analysis capabilities. You’ll also collaborate with leading scientists and researchers, both internally and externally, to drive innovations that benefit the industry and contribute to USP’s expanding digital NMR spectral database. Key Responsibilities
qNMR Research and Method Development
- Conduct studies to evaluate the parameters of NMR impacting quantum mechanics (QM) analysis.
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods using high-field NMR and qNMR technologies.
- Publish findings in white papers, journals, and other scientific publications to advance the field. Scientist III at United States Pharmacopeia
Collaboration and Innovation
- Support ongoing projects to expand USP’s NMR spectral database.
- Provide technical guidance on product development and integrate NMR innovations into USP’s analytical standards.
- Collaborate with academia and industry professionals to improve public standards and pharmaceutical safety.
Project and Data Management
- Create and execute project schedules, ensuring timely completion of studies and experiments.
- Ensure data integrity and address technical challenges through troubleshooting.

Qualifications Required
USP is looking for candidates with a strong foundation in NMR and qNMR technologies. Here’s what you need to qualify for this exciting role:
- MSc or M.Pharm with 6-8 years of experience in NMR, qNMR, and method development.
- PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (such as NMR, quantum mechanics, or a related field) is highly preferred. Fresh PhD graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Analytical Method Validation: Experience in validating analytical methods and working with NMR models using quantum mechanics.
